Angels Crowned National Universities U18 T20 Champions

Angels College, Birmingham has been crowned National Universities U18 T20 Cup Champion after a superb four-wicket victory over Shrewsbury University in the national final at Wormsley Cricket Ground on Friday.

In a season defined by resilience, belief and outstanding team performances, Angels First XI reached the summit of university cricket, overcoming some of the strongest University sides in the country to secure the prestigious national title.

Having won the toss and elected to bat, Shrewsbury University were bowled out for 117 in 19.5 overs, thanks to a disciplined and determined Angels bowling performance. Angels then chased down the target with confidence, reaching 119 for 6 in just 16.3 overs to seal a memorable four-wicket victory and write their names into the university’s sporting history.
